This workshop, conducted by Beatrice Avila, RHIA CCSP, CCMA, Sylvia Alcala, RHIA, CCS, CDIP, CPC, CPC-I and Patricia Lamson, RHIT; Alamo Area HIMA Board members.
Topics: to include ICD-10-CM, Official Coding Guidelines, CPT coding and case studies. Attendees will also gain hands on experience through by coding cases. The coding exercises emphasize all aspects of the coding classification system to allow individuals to apply their knowledge of coding principles and definitions.
Registration is limited to 30 participants.
*Continental Breakfast will be provided.
Required Materials: Coding books: ICD-10-CM, CPT any year and other books as applicable. Bring your books with you. There will not be any books provided on site.

Anyone who pays registration fees and cannot attend the event may send a substitute. A 10 day notice of cancellation is required for refund.

If you are paying by check, select “mail a check” under payment options. You will later see instructions to print the confirmation page and mail your payment to KnowledgeConnex. The mailing address will be on the invoice. Make your check payable to KnowledgeConnex and include the confirmation/order number with the check. Checks that do not reference the confirmation number will be returned to you and will not be applied to the registration.
